been two weeks since the last episode, but we still believe. We believe that the Theory of the pen is the key to everything.
In this episode, the pen is just a couple of quick appearances, but it should not upset us too: we are indeed prepared for the final crescendo (you'll see, you'll see).
But let us analyze the apparitions of the pen for good.
When Jack goes to Bernard for information on Locke, they handed him a note written on behalf of Anthony Cooper. And the note he wrote to the pen! Now, since Cooper is a character with a role mica as a joke ("Alloy" among their various characters and also it has influenced a lot of lives), the fact that his name be written in ink can certainly not be overlooked. Also
Jack expresses his amazement to Bernard about the fact that you still remember the name of Cooper, and Bernard responds with a very mysterious tone.
The aura of mystery around the dentist, however, certainly do not stop here: how can Bernard we think that Jack was trying with his wife Rose, 20 years old and not attractive? This is the real mystery.
When Jack goes to Cooper's home, the nurse at the reception is writing with a pen. It would therefore be led to think that the nursing home is yet another stronghold of the power of the pen, but on closer inspection there's more. 
On the shelf, in fact, there are many pencils. So what is the truth? We hope this CHQ be revealed in future episodes and that rather than being a plot-hole.
Finally, there is one final consideration that I would do: The submarine looks like a giant pen?
