Ecco la cartina dell'arcipelago Rodrigues Island è la meno conosciuta per il turismo di massa ma la più conosciuta per la ricchezza delle sue acque e per la pesca.
Mauritius, per l'esattezza quell'isoletta a 500 km a est che stà la sola soletta nel mezzo dell'Indiano; a Rodrigues Island, sapevo ci fossero dei gran doggy ma non che ci fossero delle coral trout mostruose.
Questa particolarmente colorata e vivace ha aggredito un jig da 200 gr della Maria.
Le abbiamo fatte in tanti modi, in tutte le salse, ma tra le tante catture ricordo quella fatta con un piccolo Kabura che scandagliando lentamente il fondale ha catturato l'attenzione del rosso predatore, in queste acque oserei dire infestante.
Ecco il piccolo kabura.
L'attrezzatura utilizzata, una leggerissima Smith Kgs 68 m montata con uno stradic 10000 e un power pro da 50 lb. il combattimento è stato duro ma alla fine l'angler ha avuto la meglio.
Caraibi, più precisamente Belize, Caye Coulker un posto dove la pesca nelle flats regala molte emozioni, sia con la tecnica della mosca che dello spinning, la presenza di predatori, che si aggirano tra le mangrovie e nei pressi degli hole, buchi da dove entra acqua limpida dall'Atlantico, è davvero elevata.

Questo Barracuda ha attaccato il Wtd con un bellissimo salto.
